Why are so many people overweight?

Here are some of the many reasons people give for gaining weight. What is yours?

  • Medical reasons such as underactive Thyroid gland.
  • Lifestyle reasons including living busy lives, which make it difficult for us to eat healthy and do exercise.
  • Just getting into bad eating and exercise habits over time and forgetting to review our food intake.
  • Eating because we are bored or nervous.
  • Never really thinking about what we eat and the need for a balanced diet.
  • Eating and drinking the same amounts we did when we were younger but as we get older our body metabolism slows down and the weight piles on

Everyone can overcome the reasons that have resulted in their increased weight. You just need to understand and acknowledge your need to lose weight and then develop a weight management plan, which is right for you.
